Resumen
Introducción: la violencia destruye el tejido social y la felicidad que muchas personas tratan de construir. Por esto entre seres humanos, cambiantes y variables, es necesario una relación donde intercambien conocimientos, ideas, pensamientos y manera de ver las cosas, pues es una forma de reducir riesgo y obtener nueva información; pero todas las personas por el medio en donde viven o por muchas situaciones que les toca experimentar, tienen conceptos diferentes, los cuales en ocasiones no dejan que esa intercomunicación o relación sea la adecuada1. Una relación que debe ser directa, buena y clara, es la relación paciente-profesional de la salud, pues están implícitos factores biosicosociales que requieren un manejo adecuado. El paciente necesita que el trabajador de la salud le dé confianza y seguridad frente a su proceso salud-enfermedad; por tanto se considera importante plantear esta investigación para caracterizar comportamientos violentos entre pacientes y profesionales de la salud, en el servicio de quirúrgicas de una Institución de III grado de complejidad, durante el año 2008. Materiales y métodos: investigación cualitativa a través de grupos focales, tomando como población referente los trabajadores de la salud y pacientes del servicio de quirúrgicas de una institución de III grado de complejidad de la ciudad de Pereira. Resultados: se espera identificar los diferentes tipos de violencia y sus posibles desencadenantes, que permitan generar estrategias de solución de conflictos adecuados para minimizarlos.

Introduction: violence destroys the social fabric and happiness that many people are trying to build. For this reason among humans, and changing variables, we need a relationship where exchange knowledge, ideas, thoughts and way of looking at things, because it is a way to reduce risk and obtain new information, but all people by the medium in which they live or by many situations that touched experiment, have different concepts which sometimes leaves no intercom or relationship that is adequate. A relationship should be direct, clear and good, is the relationship patient-health professional, because many factors are implicit biosicosociales requiring proper handling. The patient needs to health workers, who meet, we trust and security in front of his health-disease process, therefore it is important that the project poses to characterize violent behaviour among patients and health professionals in service of a surgical institution III degree of complexity during 2008. Materials and methods: the methodology used because of the type of study is a qualitative research through focus groups. Taking population as regards health workers and patients in the surgical service of an institution III degree of complexity of the city of Pereira Results: is expected to identify the different types of violence and its possible triggers, which can generate estragias conflict resolution suitable for minimizing these acts.
